Wartburg FB Hires Back Alumnus

Matt Tschetter, a 2012 Wartburg alum, has been named an assistant coach for the Wartburg College football team. Tschetter comes to Wartburg from Randolph-Macon College in Ashland, Va. where he was the co-defensive coordinator and defensive line coach for the past three seasons. The Yellow Jackets won the 2016 Old Dominion Athletic Conference Championship and qualified for the NCAA Playoffs. He coached the 2016 ODAC Defensive Player of the Year and Cliff Harris Award finalist in Cole Burdette. Tschetter mentored six All-Conference selections and three All-Region players in his time with the program.

Previously, Tschetter was a defensive line coach at Wartburg for one season. The Knights won the 2014 Iowa Conference Championship and advanced to the Elite Eight round of the NCAA Playoff.
