The Wartburg Knights won their football playoff opening round game Saturday and now know that they’ll host the second round this coming Saturday, November 25. Wartburg will host Trine University Saturday at noon. You can hear the coverage of the round of 16 on KWAY Country AM 1470 FM 96.3.
Now Wartburg’s first round win over Franklin College was a nail-biter. Wartburg won 35-34 in overtime. In O.T. Wartburg scored first and added the extra point, then Franklin scored and went for two and failed giving Wartburg the win.
