Water Pollution Control facility improvements have been completed in Waverly. The improvements were prompted by the Iowa Department of Natural Resources Nutrient Reduction Strategy requirements. Planning for the project began in 2018, with construction beginning in the summer of 2021. Improvements included the construction of an oxidation ditch and building a second biosolids storage tank. The improvements are expected to meet state and federal regulations and meet the needs of a growing population. An open house will be held on Thursday from 4:00-6:00 p.m. Attendees are asked to use the same entrance as the Waverly Bark Park and continue up the hill
