Waterloo Mask Mandate

The Waterloo City Council has voted to put a mask mandate in place, according to the Waterloo Cedar Falls Courier. The vote was 6-1 in favor of the mask mandate. It says that masks will be required for those who cannot maintain social distance in a public setting, including at businesses, city buildings, public transportation, and ride sharing. The mandate will not apply to people who are with household members. Exemptions will also be made for those exercising, obtaining services that require temporarily removing the mask, and eating and drinking. Children under 2 and those with certain medical conditions are also exempt.
