Waterloo Native Helps Send Iowa Home

Monday in the NCAA Women’s Basketball Tournament 3-seed Oklahoma beat 6-seed Iowa 96-62. Waterloo native Sahara Williams scored 13 points and grabbed 9 rebounds to help her Sooners reach the Sweet 16 for the first time since 2013.

Joining Oklahoma in the Sweet Sixteen is: North Carolina, Duke, Maryland, South Carolina, LSU, NC State, Ole Miss, UCLA, Notre Dame, TCU, Tennessee, Texas, UConn, Kansas State and USC.

USC star JuJu Watkins will miss the remainder of the tournament after tearing her ACL Monday night.
