The Waverly City Council has begun to reevaluate the city fireworks ordinance as the summer months creep closer.
Waverly City Attorney Bill Werger was responsible for redrafting the ordinance which was discussed in Monday night’s city council meeting.
Werger explains what the mindset was behind the original ordinance and where the council members will likely take the discussion:
The council plans to have at least two more hearings on the ordinance before making a final decision; you can make your voice heard by attending the city council meetings held the 1st, 3rd and 4th Mondays of the month at 7:00 p.m. at the Waverly City Hall.
