Waterloo Police are investigating two weekend shootings.
One person was shot Saturday around 7:30pm near Byron and Park View.
The victim was taken to the hospital, and is expected to recover.
(Police say the incident remains under investigation, and person of interest has not yet been arrested.)
A second shooting happened Sunday afternoon near the intersection of Denver Street and West Second.
Police aren’t confirming any further information, but according to a person who called 911, they saw a person shoot another person in the leg. According to the witness, children were playing outside during the shooting, and they were told to take cover when they heard the shots.
