Saturday in women’s hoops the Wartburg Knights fell to 2nd ranked St. Thomas 85-56 in the Elite Eight ending another fantastic season for the Knights.
Saturday in Boston the Wartburg Indoor Track and Field teams finished their season at the NCAA Championships. The women finished in 27th place and the men in 42nd place.
This weekend was a disappointing one for the Wartburg wrestlers. The Knights grapplers finished 6th place at the National Tournament. This is the worst finish for the Knights since 2001. Wartburg didn’t have any wrestlers in the finals as three men lost by a total of three points. Augsburg won their 13th championship Saturday which is one behind Wartburg’s record of 14 titles.
