Thursday night on KWAY Country the Dike-New Hartford Wolverines swept the Denver Cyclones 25-13, 25-12, 25-15 to win the Class 2A State Volleyball Championship. The title was their first since 2017 and the 7th for coach Diane Harms. Denver’s Allison Bonnette and Reece Johnson made the All Tournament Team with Dike-New Hartford’s Jadyn Peterson, Madelyn Norton joining them with Payton Peterson begin named the captain of the team.
The other champions Thursday were: in 5A 2-seed Ankeny, in 4A 1-seed Xavier, in 3A 1-seed Osage and in 1A 7th seed Burlington Notre Dame.
