Woman Arrested for Frozen Chicken Attack

A Waterloo woman has been arrested for allegedly hurling a frozen chicken at a person in a supermarket. Decedra Tyshawan Harrington, 45, of 1049 Linn St., was arrested Tuesday at her home for simple assault, a misdemeanor. She was later released from jail. Police said Harrington was at Hy-Vee on Logan Avenue around 2 p.m. May 4 when she allegedly became involved in an argument with an employee. Harrington then threw a chicken at the worker, who ducked, police said. The propelled poultry flew over the employee’s head and smacked a customer in the chest, court records state.Hy-Vee would not release surveillance video of the incident, but is cooperating with law enforcement.
