Wednesday night on KWAY Country the Denver Cyclones punched their ticket to the State Volleyball Tournament with a four set win over West Branch. The Cyclones won 23-25, 25-9, 25-16, 25-18.
Wednesday night on Y99.3 Sumner-Frederickburg swept Wapsie Valley 25-20, 25-13, 25-16 to go to State.
Wednesday night Don Bosco swept North Tama 25-13, 25-16, 25-20 to advance to the State Tournament.
Wednesday night Janesville fell to Saint Ansgar 25-18, 25-16, 30-28 as the Saints advance to State for the first time in 30 years.
Y99.3 will have the live coverage of the State Volleyball Tournament beginning Halloween night. At 4:00 4-seed Denver will play 5-seed Sumner-Frederickburg in Class 2A. Tuesday night at 8:25 6-seeded Don Bosco will face 3-seed Holy Trinity in Class 1A.
