Bomb Threat at Hy-Vee

The Hy-Vee on Flammang Drive in Waterloo was evacuated Monday night after a bomb threat, according to the Waterloo Cedar Falls Courier. The suspect phoned in the threat around 7:00 p.m. claiming there was a pipe bomb inside the store. The store was evacuated while police searched the building. They eventually determined the threat was not credible. Shoppers were allowed back in around 8:00 p.m. Similar threats were reported in Johnston, Perry, and Ames.
