A Charles City man is headed to prison after attacking a man over a missing flashlight, according to KIMT. 36 year old Kristopher Viers has been sentenced to 10 years in prison but has been given credit for time served. He will also have to pay restitution to his victim. Viers pleaded guilty to 2nd degree burglary and assault causing serious injury in September of last year. Police say he beat and choked a man unconscious over a missing flashlight. Viers then took the man’s keys to his truck.
