Man Arrested for Threatening Deputy

A Cedar Rapids man has been arrested for allegedly threatening a Black Hawk County Sheriff’s Deputy in a video, according to the Waterloo Cedar Falls Courier. 20 year old Chandrique Day, who used to reside in Waterloo, was charged with being a felon in possession of a firearm after the video depicted him holding a gun with a laser-aim device while making the threats. The weapon was seized after Day was involved in a chase with Marion Police. Day is currently awaiting trial for allegedly shooting Chad Lee in an early morning gunfight back on August 2nd. Day’s DNA was also found on a gun during a search in April of 2018. He is currently being held on a $100,000 bond.
