The Nashua-Plainfield baseball and softball complex in Plainfield will have its grand opening on Thursday, May 29th. There will be a ribbon cutting ceremony and donor recognition beginning at 5:30 p.m. The field dedication ceremony and first pitch will take place on the Cary Griffith Baseball Field at 6pm. The Huskies will be facing North Linn, coached by former Husky and Cary’s son, Travis Griffith. The field dedication ceremony and first pitch on the Leonard Yilek Softball Field will take place at 7:30 where the Huskies will face Hampton-Dumont-CAL. There will also be post-game refreshments. Admission is free for the night. Free will donations are welcomed, but are not expected.
