A fire alarm caused the Waverly-Shell Rock high school to be temporarily evacuated around 9:00 this morning. Upon investigation it was determined that a filter being changed in the band room set off the alarm. Everyone was back inside by 9:40 after fire crews determined that it was safe.
Superintendent David Hill explained the situation.
