A Waterloo man has been arrested after his infant son was found to have several broken bones and other injuries, according to the Waterloo Cedar Falls Courier. The baby’s mother contacted police after she received the child back after the child spent the weekend with the father, 27 year old Alexander Harris. The mom said the baby was overly upset and then she noticed popping and clicking sounds when the infant moved. She took the baby to hospital where doctors found several broken ribs on both sides of the body and torn frenulum connective tissue in the mouth. The baby was transferred to the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics. Harris has been charged with two counts of Child Endangerment Causing Serious Injury.
