A rural Waterloo man has been arrested for allegedly sexually assaulting a woman on multiple occasions, according to the Waterloo Cedar Falls Courier. Police were first called to the home of 74 year old Lawrence Lavenz in rural Waterloo on April 23rd around 5:20 after a neighbor heard a woman saying she wanted to go home. When police arrived the woman told them she was intoxicated and had a seizure disorder. She was taken to a hospital where she requested a sexual assault kit but declined to pursue charges. Then, on May 22, The woman called 911 at around 10:30 p.m. and pretended to order a pizza. The dispatcher asked if she was in danger, to which the woman responded with “yes”. Police again made their way to Lavenz’ home. Eventually they found Lavenz and the woman in a grain silo after the woman banged on the wall. Lavenz was allegedly on top of her and attempting to prevent her from calling out. Lavenz was taken into custody and charged with four counts of third degree Sexual Abuse. He was already on the Sex Offender Registry for having sexual contact with 12 year olds in 2005. His bond has been set at $1 million
