A man was taken into custody in Waterloo Tuesday after a standoff, according to the Waterloo Cedar Falls Courier. Police were called to a home in the 900 block of Wellington Street as part of a weapons investigation. The suspect refused to come out of the home. During the standoff, the man appeared at the back door holding a hand to his neck. After some time, the man stepped into the back yard and eventually lowered his hand. Police told him to get on the ground, but he refused. He was then hit with less-lethal rounds and got on the ground. The suspect’s name and specific alleged crimes have not been made public to this point.
