SAT & ACT Requirements Waived

The requirement for students to submit ACT or SAT scores in order to be admitted to the University of Iowa, Iowa State University, or the University of Northern Iowa has been waived, according to KWWL. The Iowa Board of Regents made the announcement Thursday. They cited many tests being cancelled, preventing students from taking the test as why the decision was made. This requirement will only be waived for those admitted to those universities in 2021. The Board of Regents will still offer ACT tests this month at the three campuses and several other locations for those students graduating high school in 2020 or 2021.
