Spring Planting Day at the Waverly Community Sharing Gardens will be held on Saturday. The planting will take place from 8 to 10am and will include a dedication for Bill Deckard at 9am. Deckard donated over 3,000 hours of volunteer work at the gardens to help support families in need. He died in February. Volunteers are needed to weed, water, and harvest the sharing gardens throughout the season on Tuesdays from 6-8pm and on Saturdays from 9-11am. Those that are interested can just show up to the Spring Planting Day on Saturday or they can contact Ron Lenth at the Bremer County ISU Extension.
