Details of a crash in Buchanan County that sent five people to the hospital have now been released by the Buchanan County Sheriff’s Office. 19 year old Dawson Brown of Jesup was driving a 2001 Dodge Ram with four passengers around 6:25 last Thursday evening. Brown failed to negotiate a curve, sending the vehicle off the roadway where it rolled several times. All four passengers were ejected from the vehicle. 22 year old Dayton Wyckoff of Shellsburg was airlifted to the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics in Iowa City. Brown, 21 year old Keegan Shaffer, a 16 year old juvenile, and a 14 year old juvenile were all transported to MercyOne Hospital in Waterloo. The accident remains under investigation and charges are pending.
