A crash in Floyd County on Friday sent the driver of both vehicles to the hospital. A Ford F650 driven by 37 year old Trevor Winfrey of Rockwell and a John Deere tractor with a planter driven by 54 year old William Ruzicka of Charles City were both northbound on Highway 218 near mile marker 227 when the F650 hit the planter. The contact caused the tractor to spin, sending it into the ditch where it flipped. Ruzicka was ejected from the tractor. The F650 came to rest upright in the ditch. Both drivers were taken to the Floyd County Medical Center. Their conditions are unknown at this time.
