After less than an hour national media organizations had already called the Iowa Republican Caucus for former president Donald Trump. By the time all the precincts had reported Trump had taken 51% of the vote. Ron DeSantis finished in a distant second with 21% of the vote, while Nikki Haley came in third with 19%.
The race was slightly closer in Bremer County with Trump getting 47% of the vote. Haley came second with 23% and DeSantis third with 19%.
Trump was more dominant in Butler County with 58% of the vote. DeSantis had 16% and Haley had 13%.
Similarly, Trump dominated Chickasaw County with 58%, DeSantis 17%, and Haley 14%.
In Black Hawk County Trump got 52% of the vote, Haley 22%, and DeSantis 16%.
Vivek Ramaswamy suspended his campaign after a poor showing last night.
