On November 28th the Waverly Police Department completed the statewide specialized traffic enforcement project that began on November 20th. They report no accidents involving a personal injury or fatality occurred during the seven day project period in the City of Waverly. Officers made one OWI arrest, three speed citations and six warnings, two open container citations, and various other citations. Waverly Officers also investigated two property damage accidents during the project period. They also made two narcotics arrests and assisted two motorists. Seatbelt surveys conducted prior to the enforcement activity indicated a 94% usage rate and the survey conducted after the enforcement period showed a 98% usage rate.
