Thursday at State Track and Field the Waverly-Shell Rock Go-Hawks had a couple of place winners. Austin Soldwisch finished 5th in the 3200 with 9.22.78. Soldwisch broke a 48 year old school record with that time. Jacelyn Endelman finished 4th in the girls high jump with a leap of 5 feet 4 inches.
The Denver boys 4×800 team won the Class 2A State Title. Kadence Huck of Nashua-Plainfield won the girls 400 meter dash.
