In the NBA Draft Thursday night LSU freshman Ben Simmons was selected number-one by the Philadelphia 76’ers. ISU’s George Niang was taken 50th by the Indiana Pacers and Abdel Nader was selected 58th by the Celtics. Marion native Marcus Paige was taken 55th by the Nets and traded to the Jazz.
Iowa’s Jarrod Uthoff went undrafted.
