Wartburg College has moved into 21st place in the Learfield Sports Directors Cup rankings which is awarded to the best overall athletic program in each division. The Knights moved up after scoring a National Championship in Wrestling and good finishes by the Men’s and Women’s Indoor Track treams. The Knights expect to move up in future ratings as the Women’s Basketball Final Four finish has yet to be added in. Wartburg has finished in the top 25 in 14 of the last 15 years and as high as 7th.
