Tuesday night the Waverly-Shell Rock boys wrestling team punched their ticket to State Duals on KWAY Country. The Go-Hawks cruised over Pleasant Valley 39-18 to set up a match up with the host Linn-Mar. In the decisive dual the Go-Hawks found themselves in a hole needing to win the last three matches or miss State Duals. Waverly-Shell Rock got a pin by Sprole, Graff and Behrends to tame the Lions 42-36. This is the 18th State Duals appearance in the last 20 years for W-SR. In Class 1A Don Bosco, Nashua-Plainfield and Wapsie Valley qualified for State Duals as well.
