A pair of players are leaving the Iowa women’s basketball program, including two-year starter Whitney Jennings. She played in all 67 games of her career at Iowa, including 62 starts. She recorded 626 points, 191 assists, 169 rebounds and 77 steals. Also leaving the program is freshman, Tagyn Larson.
Four starters are already gone next season for the Iowa men’s basketball team due to graduation. The team could lose another starter in Peter Jok who announced Wednesday that he’ll enter the NBA Draft evaluation process. However, he will not hire an agent and could still return for his senior season. The new NCAA rules allow players to compete in workouts and speak with NBA officials at the scouting combine in May. Jok would have 10 days after the combine to withdraw his name from the draft.
