Tuesday night on Y99.3 Denver and Aplington-Parkersburg split a basketball doubleheader. In the girls game Channing Johnson scored 20 points to lead the Cyclones to a 57-44 win. In the boys game the Falcons prevailed 81-68 despite Eli Ricketts scoring 26 points for Denver.
In other boys basketball: Cedar Falls beat Jefferson 60-38, Janesville beat Clarksville 55-46, Dunkerton topped Don Bosco 62-54, Jesup beat Wapsie Valley 71-43, Waterloo East cruised by Des Moines Lincoln 68-35, Waterloo Christian outscored Riceville 90-56 and Kennedy beat Waterloo West 85-43.
In girls basketball: Cedar Falls crushed Jefferson 55-25, Dunkerton ran over Don Bosco 55-18, Sumner-Fredericksburg was victorious over Oelwein 66-42, North Tama beat Tripoli 44-23, Wapsie Valley edged Jesup 35-34, Waterloo East crushed Lincoln 68-33, Ricevlle beat Waterloo Christian 51-42 and Kennedy upset Waterloo West 60-33.
